As a very proud, first-time parent, I am pleased to introduce my newest and cutest family member:

There is an exciting God-story coming soon to this blog about how he joined my family, but, in the meantime, I need your help thinking up a good name for him. Please comment on my blog and leave any boy-name suggestions you have for my new kitten…

  1. oh my gosh hanna thats the cutest thing ever to happen to you! I have to meet her as soon as possible. I think you should call her like moondance or something like that…something with stars. but you know me, ill probably have many more by tomo. so um if you wanna go peoplish, mercedes, arianna joy, and holly would be cute on her. ooh wow sox says he has a crush on her. This should get interesting. he wants her phone number. somehow, parently instincts are kicking in and i dont think 23ish is old enough for him to date. wait maybe hes in his late 40s. oh well(~7×7). im going to bed now. but i want to hang out soon. and talk to you about work crew. ill think of other names soon:D

    Translation:
Another puck kid in the family to disturb my sleep! She better not want to sleep in “MY Box” or eat “my” favorite snacks!
She looks like a Lucy to me.

  3. Anything but Hillary!
Lydia, after the purple cloth merchant from Thyatira, would be a great name. She was faithful, industrious, bold, and hospitable.

  4. Meow Meow Purrrrrrrrr
She’s definitely a country girl and not a sophisticated suburban girl like me! Call her Annabelle or Annie for short. Can she catch mice as good as I can? Maybe call her Geraldine or Gerry for short. (You know the cartoon – Tom & Jerry? But the female version.)
    Welcome to the family kid.

“Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy-I’ve got somebody my age to play with! Can’t wait to meet you. Everybody around here hits me in the head and hisses at me to go away-so maybe you’ll like to run and jump and play with me. Hope you can come for a visit! We can sleep in Noah’s box together and eat all of Lacie’s treats. I love to eat mom’s plants and dig all the dirt out of the pots. Do you like to do that too? I think a good name for you is “Suzie” short for Suzanna. Do you like that? Email me soon-all you have to do is walk across the keyboard when somebody is typing on it like I’m doing right now.
    Meow Meow purr purrrrrrrrr………….

  6. How about some good ol southern girl names –
Patsy, Bonnie, Dolly, Sadie, Reba, Delta,
Elsie May, Rosie, Daisy, Daphne, or Gabbie just to name a few.
Dad says Olivia call her “Ollie” for short.
Phil says when in doubt call her “Kitty”!!!

  7. hmmm…like Lydia.
    I’ll just list random names:
    kitty
    star
    fluffy
    darling
    *twinkle toes*!
    just kiddin’
She looks like a perky, scruffy, soft lovin’ thing….can’t wait to meet her.

  10. I just relized this! okay…..Phil said to name her “Kitty” & I wanted you to name her “Cat”!!! Oh my Word!! You were right, Miecznakowski, we are alike!! That’s really creepy!! In a cool way……I think!!! Man,this calls for an awkward turtel!! Ha!!

  11. Sadie, your Mom had a Sadie Mae. Fluffy has been mentioned, as well as Furry. Cuddles! How about an Irish name – Kathleen – call her Katie. Or Katrina. Maybe Heidi. She is adorable.

  12. Hmm…well, so SHE turned out to be a HE….

Thanks for all the girl names, but it turns out that HE is going by OLIVER these days…
