My apologies that I haven't posted yet, but I haven't had any internet access at all. I will try to write a longer article soon (possible post trip), but here are some quick updates.
We have had a fantastic time so far! Upon arriving, we hopped a train and then took a taxi to get to Salford. We are staying in a B&B with Jackie, the same woman I lived with last fall and the first few weeks that my spring team stayed in England. It's great to catch up with her. She and her family are doing well.
Brenda, Amanda and I have spent a LOT of time walking everywhere, and our feet are soar, but we are glad to visit everyone. Thursday night we attended a small group and saw lots of people we know. Some of them were very surprised by our visit!! We also saw the current FYM team here, and the leaders, our good friends Josh and Shannon.
Since then, we have seen many people. Most of our time is spent eating with them or drinking coffee (lots of Starbucks runs!!) This morning (Sunday), we attended both St. James and St. Clement's Churches. Tonight, we are headed out to eat with Henry and Ian (pastors here), Josh and Shannon, and our English friends Alan and John.
Please pray for us tomorrow as it is our last day to visit people, and it will be very hard to say goodbye to some of them. Continue to pray that we are an encouragement to those we visit with. Also, please pray for our safe travel on Tuesday. We leave very early in the morning.
I've included several pictures in this article, and hopefully they will tell some of the stories I did not.
As always, thanks for your prayers!!
