Yes, this is the ACTUAL TEMPERATURE in Dallas right now…
As we serve among the refugee populations here, we spend most of our time outside in the blazing hot sun. It’s a battle to drink enough water to keep up with the rate at which the sweat dehydrates our bodies. Yet, we know that we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be. God chose us for just this moment, and it’s totally worth it.
You see, the community where we’re serving needs the love of Christ desperately. Made up mostly of individuals that had to leave behind everything they know in order to save their lives, residents here face rejection and poverty on a daily basis. They need to hear about the living water available to them in Jesus, the kind they can drink and never thirst again (even if they have to drink a gallon of water a day to keep up with the temperature here!).
Below, we’ve created a photo story of our ministry for you. But, more than tell the story, we’re crying out for your help. You see, this community needs Jesus, and it needs you to be His hands and feet and voice because the people here have no idea that He exists or that He loves them. We’re a small group, only 32, and we’re only here for 5 days. Please sign up to help here next summer. Our ministry partners are so short handed, but the harvest is ready…
