Thank you to those of you who have been praying for my uncle. He went home to be with the Lord around 8pm Friday night. Interestingly enough, his body was completely cancer free, but his systems couldn’t keep up with all that was going on in his body. Friday morning he was doing fairly well. Friday evening, his heartrate skyrocketed. The doctors informed his family that this would eventually lead to cardiac arrest and death. They had to choose whether to take him off life support and see what the Lord did, or leave him on until he had a heart attack. They decided to take him off then and spare any unnecessary suffering. He breathed on his own for about half an hour, and then he very peacefully went to be with the Lord.
Please be in prayer for his family and our extended family over this next week. His wife in grieving, obviously, but with her hope in the Lord. His children are very distraught. Very few of us in my family are believers. Pray that we will be able to minister both to my uncle’s immediately family and also to our extended family. My other uncle will be giving the eulogy at the funeral and will, I’m sure, include the gospel in it. Pray that the Lord will open up opportunities for people to come to the Lord in this time. I will probably fly home in the next few days. I really want to reach out to my cousins at this time and be there for them and for my aunt. Pray that the Lord will provide for that.
Again, thanks for all of your prayers,
Hanna
I am so sorry but may this bring glory to God and lead more of your family to salvation. My prayers are with you.
I am so sorry for you and your family’s loss, but I am thankful that he is resting with the Lord. You will all be in my prayers.
Blessings,
Jennifer
