Wednesday morning, we woke up early and were out the door by 7:30am. We hopped aboard some rickshaws (a 2-person cart pulled by a driver on a bicycle) and rode to the orphanage. For this day, we were teachers. Over a four-hour period, I taught four classes. The first were 2nd graders, and we worked on their math with flashcards. I really enjoyed that class. Next came a class of 35 kindergartners. That was an interesting student-teacher ratio – lots of them and only one of me! Some how I survived….
After a short break, I had that class again, but this time I had two teammates with me, and I think we made some progress. For my fourth period, I went back to the 2nd grade class and taught English. It went extremely well. Praise God!
After school, we attended a prayer time with the children. Then we helped them study for a bit, and we rounded out the day with Christmas crafts. Remember those construction paper chains you probably made for Christmas as a child?? Let’s just say that these kids made the longest one I have ever seen. How fun!
By the time we returned home (around 7pm), I was exhausted, but happy. I felt like we had a very fruitful day, and I praise the Lord for all the opportunities He provided us.
Oh dear-forgot to send some “glitter” with you for the christmas chains! They always looked better with “glitter”! Glad you arrived safe. Holding all of you up in prayer. Love you.
Praise the Lord for His grace to use you there in India. I’m praying that He will do in and through you exceedingly far more than you can hope or imagine.
We had Scott Hendrix over to supper last night with our small group, and it is so encouraging to hear what the Lord is doing through our missionaries in various parts of the world. Truly He is to be praised!
May the Lord keep you well, encourage you, and make you more & more like Christ Jesus.

Wow, it sounds like you are staying busy! How encouraging to see such faith in those little ones. Have fun and give the kids love from Texas! 🙂
