I’m sitting in a tiny kitchen eating croissants with cream cheese and drinking orange flavored yogurt juice with a young pastor and his wife in Guayaquil, Ecuador.  They grew up in the area and are now Salvation Army officers responsible for a church of about 60 and a Compassion International partner program that feeds 200+ kids every week and provides medical care and in-home well-baby visits.  Their facility is too small, and they only have a couple of local workers.

As I explain to them the idea of bringing an Ambassador team for 3 weeks next July, Kenya (the pastor’s wife) looks at me and laughs, “This is a dream come true.”

She means this literally…  A few weeks ago, before she knew I was coming, she had a dream that she opened all the doors and windows of her house and a bunch of gringoes (white people) came streaming in.

Jesus!  Looks like He was preparing the way even before Pastor Franklin and Kenya were on my radar…
